The next thing that you need to establish with your readers is trust. You need to understand that people don’t make purchases from people that they don’t trust. So you need to get the reader to trust you and do it quickly. Just like in the case of your attention grabber, you will not have much time to do this. Once you are able to quickly establish trust with your potential customers, your copywriting business will really start to take off.
A great way to establish trust is to sympathize with the readers. What problem do your readers have? Well if your product is a manual about how to sell products on internet auction sites, then your readers will most likely have a problem selling things on auction sites. Tell them that you used to have the same problems. Tell them that you used to try to sell goods on auction sites. Say that you would spend hours deciding just what to try to sell, but you could never make any profit. If they feel like you are sympathizing with them, they can start to trust you.
Then, tell them that you came upon the solution. Your solution solved all of your problems and you decided to turn it into a manual that contained all of your methods. Then use the rest of the sales copy to explain to them that your solution will work for them. It’s all about connecting with your readers. Once the connection has been made, they will be putty in your hands – all you need to do is reinforce how great your product is and seal the deal.
